Quintessential High Tea in the Palm Court at The Drake Hotel
Some celebrations are simply unforgettable, and Lavi and Sid’s high tea at The Drake Hotel's iconic Palm Court was one of those occasions.
Set against the backdrop of one of Chicago's most historic and elegant spaces, the event beautifully blended the timeless tradition of afternoon tea with the vibrant energy of the couple’s Haldi. The Palm Court's classic architecture, refined ambiance, and impeccable service created the perfect setting for family and friends to celebrate the new couple.
The couple's Haldi elevated the traditional afternoon tea experience with a distinctly Indian touch. Guests were welcomed with aromatic Kehwah tea, setting the tone for an afternoon that honored heritage and hospitality.
Complementing the tea service was a thoughtfully curated menu of regional Indian dishes by New York City–based Chef Abishek, whose culinary expertise showcased authentic flavors from across India, including Kashmir. The bespoke menu seamlessly paired traditional high tea favorites, such as finger sandwiches and petit fours, with vibrant Indian specialties, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of the couple's two cultures. Beautifully suited to the timeless elegance of The Drake Hotel's Palm Court, the menu created a one-of-a-kind dining experience that effortlessly blended Chicago luxury with the flavors and traditions of India.
