Inside a Luxurious Wedding Reception in Chicago's Historic Stock Exchange Trading Room at the Art Institute Chicago
The grand reception celebration of Lavi and Sid’s unforgettable wedding weekend was nothing short of extraordinary. Set within the iconic Stock Exchange Trading Room at the Art Institute of Chicago, the evening embraced timeless black-tie elegance with a bold, artful palette of deep crimson, rich gold, and striking blue. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and deeply personal.
The first surprise of the evening wasn't finding a seat—it was finding themselves.
Instead of traditional escort cards, every guest was welcomed with a custom hand-sketched portrait created exclusively for them. Months before the wedding, our thoughtful couple worked alongside a talented sketch artist, providing a photograph of each guest so every illustration could be drawn by hand, one by one. The result was an escort display that was as meaningful as it was beautiful.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with not only gilded tabletop decor, they were welcomed to their seat with a custom love note place card handwritten by the bride and groom in advance of the wedding. Thank you to Smitten Boutique in Chicago’s West Loop for all of the meticulous day-of wedding details.
As dinner unfolded beneath the soaring architecture of the Trading Room, every design element reflected the couple's vision of refined sophistication. The rich color palette, layered textures, candlelight, and floral artistry complemented the grandeur of the historic space while creating an inviting warmth that carried guests through an unforgettable evening of dining, dancing, and celebration.
